Acerca de Adrián Silva Fernández
An organized and efficient professional, persistently oriented towards achieving objectives and goals. Adaptable to changes and with a high sense of fulfilling professional commitments and ethical standards. He was the top candidate in his field at the Universidad de la Frontera, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Sciences and the title of Environmental Engineer with Highest Distinction in 2003. In 2011, he earned a Master’s Degree in Integrated Management of Environment, Occupational Risks, and Corporate Social Responsibility from the Universidad de Concepción, being the top student of his class with outstanding grades. He has developed his professional career in private companies and corporations such as Terciados y Maderas S.A., Fibra Ingeniería y Construcción S.A., and Celulosa Arauco y Constitución S.A., performing roles in environmental assessment, water treatment division engineer, and environmental engineer for the implementation of quality and environmental management systems. Additionally, he worked for 6 years as a researcher and consultant in environmental assessment and engineering at the Environmental Studies Center of the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, conducting environmental impact assessments for companies such as Compañía Minera Pumillahue, Celulosa Arauco y Constitución S.A., Compañía Siderúrgica Huachipato, and CODELCO Chile. Subsequently, he was the Head of Environment at Icafal Ingeniería y Construcción S.A., ensuring compliance with the Environmental Qualification Resolution for the construction of the new Chaitén aerodrome, mandated by the Ministry of Public Works. For 11 years, he was a professor at the Universidad de Concepción in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, developing research lines in projects and theses related to management systems (quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and road safety) and the dispersion of atmospheric emissions from energy and industrial sources and their impact on the environmental, social, and labor surroundings. Currently, he works independently as a Lead Auditor of Management Systems for TÛV Rheinland Chile and as an Internal Auditor for the consulting firms Asenor Chile SpA and Chile Normas SpA in the standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 39001, ISO 50001, and NCh2728 (OTEC), participating in audit processes in more than 200 organizations.
